Who's recruiting: Gilt Groupe and BMW create jobs

IT: A US online retailer has announced plans to create up to 200 hi-tech jobs in Ireland. Gilt Groupe is opening its international headquarters and software development centre in Dublin and a customer support centre in Limerick. Recruitment will commence for senior software engineering and technology roles in Dublin immediately, reports Silicon Republic. It is anticipated that Gilt Groupe's customer support centre will be operational in Limerick by September.

Automotive: Up to 200 jobs are to be created at a new multi-million pound distribution depot for BMW cars in Northampton, reports the BBC. Work started this week on the warehouse at ProLogis Park, Pineham. The facility is set to be completed by early 2012.

Technology: US computer software company NEI is creating 50 new jobs in Ireland, reports RTÉ. The firm is setting up a manufacturing facility and support centre in Galway. Recruitment for the positions in manufacturing and technology support is already underway, according to Business and Leadership.

Horticulture: Dozens of new jobs are being created at a garden centre in Hartlepool. The owners of the new centre, which is partially open, already have 15 staff on board. They are currently recruiting and plan to take around 50 people, reports the Peterlee Mail. The garden centre is expected to be fully operational by May.

Recycling: The expansion of a recycling plant in Lincolnshire will lead to 30 new jobs. Eco Plastics has invested £15m to double the size of the plant after signing a deal to supply Coca-Cola with recycled plastic, according to This is Lincolnshire.

Manufacturing: Toilet roll maker Accrol Papers has announced plans for 50 new jobs in Blackburn as part of £6m expansion. The new jobs, will take Accrol's workforce to about 150, involve manufacturing and warehousing roles, reports the Lancashire Telegraph.

Electronics: An electronics firm plans to create about 90 new jobs after securing £500,000 for the business, reports the Sunderland Echo. Connor Solutions in Houghton-le-Spring plans to create the new positions over the next three years.
