Who's recruiting - Finance jobs in Edinburgh

Finance: Global financial services company State Street is creating 90 jobs in Edinburgh. The asset management company is boosting its workforce from 750 to 840 employees, reports the BBC. The new posts will be professional and administrative roles.

Apprenticeships: West Lancashire autobody repair company The Karl Vella Group is creating 20 jobs as part of a £250,000 investment. New roles, including apprenticeships, will be set up over the next 12 months, reports the Skelmersdale Advertiser.

Social care: A multi-million pound extension of a care home will lead to around 40 new jobs in Middlesbrough. Belle Vue Care Home is creating jobs for nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, healthcare assistants and kitchen and domestic staff. The 43-bed extension, which will open in September, will include 16 assisted elderly living places and 27 in a specialist unit for young chronically sick people, reports The Northern Echo.

Sales: Cloud computing and revenue management company Marketo has announced it will create 125 jobs in Dublin over the next three years. Recruitment has begun for staff to work in sales, marketing, support, consulting, development and back office positions, reports the Irish Times.

Retail: A new Tesco Extra store will create 400 jobs in Widnes. The new branch is due to open in March 2012, reports the Runcorn and Widnes World. Tesco has entered into a partnership with Halton Council to ensure that the majority of jobs will go to Halton residents, particularly the long-term unemployed.

Hospitality: A family-owned Yorkshire Dales hotel will create 58 new jobs as part of a £5m expansion. The Coniston Hotel is adding a health and fitness spa, 20 more bedrooms, a new lounge and also extending the foyer, bar, restaurant. The new jobs will take the total created by the hotel and estate to 150, reports the Yorkshire Post.
