The Old Guard is Netflix’s newest blockbuster epic, set to premiere on the streaming service next month.
From the critically acclaimed director Gina Prince-Blythewood (Love & Basketball, The Secret Life of Bees), The Old Guard is a fantasy epic following a team of immortal mercenaries fighting to keep their identities secret as a young recruit joins their team.
Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Greg Rucka, the film promises a globe-trotting plot with intricate action sequences.

In The Old Guard, Charlize Theron slips comfortably back into action hero mode, which fans will recognise from her roles in Mad Max: Fury Road and Atomic Blonde.
Brit Chiwetel Ejiofor plays an unnamed character in the film, but in the trailer he appears to be the Old Guard’s primary protagonist.
Kiki Layne, whose breakout role was in Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk, takes on another major role as the young recruit joining Andy in the team of mysterious mercenaries.
Matthias Schoenhaerts (Red Sparrow) plays Booker, a member of the mercenaries, while Dutch actor Marwan Kenzari (Aladdin) plays Yusuf Al-Kaysani / Joe.
Luca Marinelli (Trust) plays Nicky, while Natacha Karam (The Brave) plays Dizzy and Harry Melling (Harry Potter) plays Merrick.
Veronica Ngo, Anamaria Marinca, and Joey Ansah also star.
The Old Guard is set to premiere on Netflix on July 10.
