Who plays Sully in Top Boy on Netflix and what are his biggest music hits?

Hit Netflix show Top Boy is back with more explosive drama centring around London drug gangs. The fourth season dropped on the streaming service last week - with fans excited to see the return of main characters Dushane and Sully as they navigate the harsh realities of life on the fictional Summerhouse estate.

The show aired for two seasons on Channel 4 before being axed in 2013. But Netflix gave it a second chance after Canadian megastar rapper Drake revealed he was a fan of the programme and came on board as an executive producer.

The third season arrived in 2019 and the ten episodes were met with critical acclaim - justifying the decision to bring it back. And with the new season also proving popular with critics and viewers, it looks like it is here to stay.

The show’s main character Dushane is played by Ashley Walters, who is also known by his stage name Asher D. He started acting at an early age, appearing in the likes of Grange Hill, before going on to enjoy chart success as a rapper in So Solid Crew. He is also known for his roles in Bullet Boy and Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

Meanwhile, the character of Sully - Dushane’s partner and friend - is played by Kane Robinson. He is better known as Kano - a rapper and songwriter considered to be one of the pioneers of grime alongside the likes of Wiley and Dizzee Rascal.

Here are some of Kano’s biggest hits:

This is the Girl (ft. Craig David)

This was the first single from Kano’s second studio album London Town. It was released in 2007 and peaked at number 18 in the UK charts in September of that year.

Typical Me

This was the second single from Kano’s debut album Home Sweet Home, released in 2005. Featuring vocals from grime MC Ghetts, it was Kano’s first appearance in the UK singles chart, reaching 22 in March 2005.

Nite Nite

Also from Kano’s debut album, Nite Nite was produced by and featured vocals from The Streets’ Mike Skinner. This laidback track also charted in 2005, reaching number 25.

3 Wheel-Ups

Taken from his fifth studio album Made In The Manor, 3 Wheel-Ups is a grime banger featuring UK rap trailblazer Giggs. With 15m views, it’s Kano’s most watched video on YouTube.

Ps and Qs

Ps and Qs was Kano’s debut music video, also taken from his debut album Home Sweet Home. It is the rapper’s second highest watched video on YouTube, with 10m views.
