Who performed better in last night's TV leader interviews?

It was the televised debate that wasn’t a debate. Instead, David Cameron and Ed Miliband each faced a grilling from Jeremy Paxman, followed by questions from a live studio audience, moderated by Kay Burley. An instant Guardian/ICM poll revealed the public thought Cameron had the better of the exchanges, albeit by a narrow margin.

Many of you disagreed, judging by the comments.

I don't know what programme these people watched. The one I watched was ridiculously biased against Ed Miliband. And I say this as one who has no intention of voting Labour. Given that the production was so poor I don't know how anybody can judge who won from an unfair fight.

Miliband did well tonight and as a Tory I don't mind admitting it. Cameron was assured and very much the prime minister, but Miliband did surprise me. Cameron had more to bat with and Miliband flopped on immigration and Labours record on spending, but he certainly held his own with paxman. How much this changes things, I am not so sure. I still believe the Tories are in the ascendency.

Felt like a score draw to me, Cameron took a pasting from Paxman but Miliband really should have done better.

Come on Guardian, let us conduct a BTL poll on who won last night .My vote goes to Milliband.

Heeding staffieman’s plea, we thought it prudent to do an entirely unscientific readers’ poll. Who do you think came out on top?
