Who might be the next Spartan in the NBA? Part 2: Two talented guards

In the second part of our series, we will look at the next group of Michigan State basketball players who could be the next Spartan in the NBA. That group is an exclusive group of two guys who will go down in history as Michigan State fan favorites.

Next year’s talented guard duo: Cassius Winston and Joshua Langford

Cassius Winston is currently a favorite for the national player of the year award, so if he can improve his speed and athleticism in the gym even just a little bit this offseason I think he will certainly be at least drafted. From there, it depends on how bullish you are on Winston as a pro prospect. If McQuaid doesn’t get minutes this year by way of some two-way contract, I do believe Cassius Winston will be a great contender to be the next Spartan to touch an NBA floor.

However, Joshua Langford is intriguing. Like Winston, he is a great shooter, and Langford is also a solid defender and a smart player. If he can come back from his leg injury at 100% he has a decent chance to find his way to an NBA team, but I honestly think it will require some time in the G-League.
