Who left Bake Off last and what's in store for Bread Week?

Bake Off is back and the nation has been lapping up this year's Technical and Showstopper challenges from inside the famous tent.

We're already two episodes down and are heading into Bread Week, which will see 10 contestants go head-to-head.

But who is already out, who has been crowned Star Baker and what time is the next episode on?

Here's everything you need to know about The Great British Bake Off so far.

Who left Bake Off last week?

Biscuit week saw the show say goodbye to Mak.

While he impressed the judges with his showstopper and signature, they felt he hadn't quite fulfilled the brief with either.

Mak was the second to leave after Loriea, who impressed host Matt Lucas with her bubblegum-flavoured Battenburg during episode one, but Prue and Paul felt she hadn't quite balanced her flavours.

There are now 10 contestants left in the competition as we head into Bread Week.

Who are the Star Bakers of 2020?

Dave was Star Baker last week (Channel 4)

The first episode, during Cake Week, saw Peter win Star Baker.

While Dave won the title during Biscuit Week.

The Bake Off said of his win: "He didn't crumble or snap in Biscuit Week! Well played to our Star Baker Dave!"

What is the theme for week three?

The third instalment of the 2020 series is Bread Week.

It will include a soda bread Signature, a twisty Technical and a loaf Showstopper.

The Great British Bake Off airs Tuesday, October 6 at 8pm on Channel 4.
