Who is YungBlud in the Soccer Aid 2021 World XI team?

Soccer Aid returns tonight for its 10th year with a whole host of famous faces taking part.

But you may be wondering who YungBlud is, who is part of this year's Soccer Aid World XI FC line-up against England.

The event is taking place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and is being broadcast live by ITV.

So, who is YungBlud?

YungBlud, whose full name is Dominic Richard Harrison, is a 24-year-old singer from Doncaster.

He released his debut EP in 2018 and his second album - Weird! - peaked atop the UK Albums Chart in 2020.

The rapidly-rising punk star, hailed as the 'future of rock and roll' by Dave Grohl, was recently one of the main headliners at Manchester Pride Live.

He also performed at Leeds and Reading festivals last weekend.

He told the PA news agency this week: “It’s been incredible. I always describe it, to be back on stage, it’s where I truly belong.

“When you come to a Yungblud show, that’s when you really understand Yungblud. Because Yungblud isn’t me. It’s everything around it. It’s the future.

“I use this analogy, it’s like you step through a mirror and go to the other side. It’s like nowhere you’ve ever been before and I adore it.”

The singer is currently dating American singer and fashion designer Jesse Jo Stark.

Dominic, who has worked with the likes of Travis Barker and Machine Gun Kelly, was nominated for four NME awards - Best British Solo Act; Best Music Video for Original Me; Best Solo Act in the World; and Best Collaboration also for Original Me; and won the best music video award.

The Soccer Aid charity match raises money for UNICEF to help give children all over the world a happy, healthy childhood.

Last year, a record £9.3 million was raised.

But in 2021, they're hoping to raise more money than ever with every donation and the value of every ticket sale doubled, up to £6.3 million, with the support of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation.
