Christmas and New Year are on the horizon and for many of us it’s time to relax a little, slack off the pace, and look back at a 2015 that has turned out to be odder and more challenging than anyone could possibly have foreseen.
What were your highlights? What projects or colleagues absolutely shone out for you as something/someone of whom you are proud? What NGO joke made you laugh at an entirely inappropriate moment? Who gave you a big smile or a hug at the moment you most needed it?
To cheer ourselves up during what occasionally feels like the End of Days, we’re joining up with Adeso Africa, a southern NGO, Bond, the UK INGO alliance who run the Bond Awards every year, CIVICUS, the global alliance for civil society organisations, and Interaction, the Washington-based US alliance of NGOs, all looking to collect some NGO heroes in order to put together a gallery of glory for New Year’s Eve. We won’t be able to get everyone in there, but with a bit of luck we’ll be able to reflect back a bit of your wonderfulness!
