There have been very few names linked with Leeds United so far this summer after the club's relegation from the Premier League. The Whites are waiting for the takeover at Elland Road to be given the green light before any transfers are sanctioned.
Andrea Radrizzani has agreed a deal with 49ers Enterprises for a takeover at Leeds, which will unlock the ability to wheel and deal in the transfer market. Whites' goalkeeper Illan Meslier has been tipped to leave the club this summer, while Joel Robles has been invited back to training at the end of his contract.
Leeds need investment into the goalkeeping department this summer and one of the names linked with the club is Rotherham United shot stopper Viktor Johansson. The 24-year-old shot stopper has continued his ascent up the football league and is establishing himself as one of the brightest goalkeepers in the Championship.
Originally from Sweden, Johansson came through Hammarby's academy before signing for Aston Villa in 2017. The Swedish youth international spent the second-half of the campaign on loan with National League North side Alfreton Town where he got his first taste of senior English football.

Johansson moved to Leicester City at the end of that season and spent two years with the Premier League outfit but would spend the majority of his time with the Foxes' Under-21s side. He made his bow in the EFL Trophy before joining Rotherham in 2020.
The 6ft1 shot-stopper has made just shy of 100 appearances for the Millers in that time and was part of their League One promotion winning side back in 2021-22. His form has been that impressive with the Championship side, he received his first call-up to the Swedish senior national team for the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Belgium and Azerbaijan.
Johansson won the Player of the Year prize at Rotherham’s end-of-season awards and was voted Players’ Player of the Year. Millers boss Matt Taylor was in full agreement with the outcome of those awards and told the Rotherham Advertiser: “That’s the easiest question I’ve ever had to answer,” he said when asked who had his vote.
“Viktor by an absolute mile. His level of level of performance has been above the level of other players, if not the level of the league, in every single game this season. He has saved us so many points. He has been outstanding.”
