Former Nottingham Forest boss Alex McLeish is excited by Matty Cash's move to Aston Villa and says the flying full-back looks a "talent".
McLeish, who also spent time in charge of Villa, was impressed with Cash's performances last season which made him one of the most sought after players in the Championship.
He scored three goals and registered five assists which convinced Villa to pay a reported £12m to Forest for his services which could rise to £16m in add-ons.
And McLeish, who was talking to Football Insider, believes he can be a hit in the Premier League.
“He looks a talent, doesn’t he? I remember one of his goals back in the season when he rifled one in from the right side into the top corner," he said.
“You see when a guy unleashes one like that with unerring accuracy and power, that lightens everything up and it just makes you want to say: ‘Who is this guy? I want to see more of him’.
“I know he’s been doing that, not scoring goals the whole season, but that sort of attacking flair that has made him the subject of the transfer to Villa.“
