Netflix’s Harry & Meghan has finally been released, as viewers get their first glimpse behind-the-scenes of the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The six-part docuseries gives the Duke and Duchess the opportunity to tell their story of what really goes on behind closed doors.
It explores the entire span of their six-year relationship, and includes interviews with family and friends of the royal couple, many of whom are speaking publicly for the first time. They offer unprecedented commentary on what they have witnessed as Harry and Meghan’s close friends and confidants.
Those appearing in the series shine a light on one of the world’s most high-profile couples. One such friend featuring in the documentary is American film and TV writer, producer and director, Silver Tree.

Silver is a close friend of Meghan’s, from Petaluma, California, around 40 miles north of San Francisco. Between 2014 and 2018, she was an executive producer and occasional director of US legal drama Suits, in which Meghan starred for seven seasons.
Her credits include episodes of Netflix’s You, Dead to Me, and the US version of Shameless. She is also set to direct a remake of the Michael Douglas 1987 thriller, Fatal Attraction.
Writing on Twitter, she has referred to Meghan as one of her “nearest and dearest” friends. In posts shared in May 2021, she said: “On her [Meghan’s] wedding day she checks in on me in the morning.

“It’s her day, the world is standing by, it’s a lot-but she wants the day to be special for me. ‘You’ve come such a long way’ she says ‘Are you jet lagged?’ she says ‘I made you a playlist to listen to while you get ready’.
“When my son was going through a scary, complicated diagnosis she is the friend who stopped everything and helped map out, step by step, how we would navigate things. She called all the people, all the places when I was too paralyzed to form a plan.
This is Meg. A real person- not a cover story. She is one of my very nearest and dearest. Like all her friends I love her madly.

As a close friend of the couple, Silver was in attendance at Harry and Meghan’s wedding at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
