The Celebrity Traitors is here. For the next few weeks, we’ll be watching a group of famous faces enter the iconic Traitors castle with the aim of backstabbing and betraying their way to success.
At stake is a £100,000 prize fund for a charity of their choosing, but to get there, the group will have to identify and banish three Traitors from their number. The Traitors, meanwhile, can ‘murder’ a contestant each night, and will attempt to get away with it until the finale.
Which celebs would they be? Well, there’s Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Paloma Faith and Jonathan Ross for starters – as well as Tom Daley, Clare Balding and Alan Carr.

Among them is Ruth Codd: an Irish actor who is best known for starring in Netflix shows like The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher.
Everything we know about Ruth Codd
Ruth Codd grew up in Wexford, Ireland. She rode horses and played football – but was involved in a serious accident when she was 15 that she later said cost “eight years of her life”.
“It never healed correctly so until I was 23, I was on and off crutches, getting loads of operations,” she told the Irish Examiner.
“Because of nerve damage and chronic pain, I chose to get it amputated. It took eight years of my life, constantly going in and out of hospital… ,y whole life revolved around trying to heal my leg. For years, I didn’t see it getting any better. I was stuck in a really bad mindset and I was p****d off at life.
"When I made the decision to amputate it, things finally started to turn around. It was a relief. I could get on my life. I was just messing around in school and fell over playing soccer, which is the worst part because I don’t even like soccer. At least I could have gone out in blaze of glory doing something that I loved but – no!"

Originally, she trained as a professional make up artist and barber, but lost her job during the Covid-19 pandemic. After that, she began posting videos on TikTok – at first, comedic skits where she dressed up as a nun, but later segueing into disability awareness.
It was a success: after a year, she had more than 672,000 followers and was scouted by the casting team of the Netflix series The Midnight Club. She had never acted before, but went onto appear in that and then The Fall of the House of Usher.

Since then, she’s appeared in Celeb Cooking School, The Dry, and in the live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon.
What has she said about Celebrity Traitors?
She’s said that she’s a big fan, which influenced her decision to sign up. “I'm questioning everything now!” she told the BBC. “I've never done anything like this before. I watched the show, and I just thought it'd be really good fun.”
As for her strategy, she says she’s flexible.
“I’m not set on one approach. I chopped off my own leg and taught myself to walk again,” she added. “I'm a very adaptable person, if anything. Being in situations where you have to kind of think quickly, adjust, that doesn't really phase me so I’m going in with the intention of taking it moment by moment.”
