Who is RTE's new weather presenter Stephen Daly? All you need to know about the weather man

Stephen Daly from Lusk, Co. Dublin only began presenting the weather for RTÉ weather last year but his involvement in broadcasting and media goes back to when he was 16.

The chatty weather man attended Skerries Community College and then went on to complete a media diploma in Ballyfermot College of Further Education.

His love for broadcasting started young and he got his first job in the sector working in FM104 when he was only 16.

He has worked in some of Ireland's biggest radio stations since then.

Describing him on their website RTÉ said: "He started talking at 9 months old, and well, he hasn't stopped since!"

"When he's not chatting weather (or rubbish!), you can find Stephen playing Cricket (awfully!) and supporting Man United, Leinster and the Irish Rugby Team! Stephen is also a fan of a terrible great joke and loves a witty pun!"

Stephen began his career presenting the weather in 2016 with UTV, then moved to TV3 and finally RTÉ weather last year.

He often features on RTÉ radio and as a continuity voice on the tv station as well as doing the weather.
