Who is Pottery Throw Down presenter Ellie Taylor and what other TV shows has she been on?

The Great Pottery Throw Down is back and its presenter line-up has seen quite a shake-up.

Derry Girls favourite Siobhán McSweeney has been replaced by fellow comedian Ellie Taylor for this year's series.

The show, which sees amateur potters make wondrous clay designs, has been praised for its thoughtful judges.

The show, now in its fourth series, follows the style of the much loved The Great British Bake Off.

The 12 home potters are tasked with different challenges, all in a bid to win the wheel trophy.

So far the series has seen the potters tackle crockery sets and ceramic milk bottles with the hopes of impressing the judges.

Who is Pottery Throw Down presenter Ellie Taylor and what other TV shows has she been on?

English comedian Ellie Taylor is also a writer and an actor.

She was a regular on Nish Kumar's The Mash Report, where she was in character as Late Night Mash newsreader, Susan.

She's also known for her appearances on Mock The Week.

Her acting credentials span the likes of The Lodge - where she played a character called Christina - and Sick Note, where she is a reporter, as well as Brotherhood, in which she plays Poppy.

The 38-year old has one child and is married to Phil Black, an Australian reporter. She has also authored two books in her career.

The Great Pottery Throw Down returns today (Sunday, January 9) on Channel 4 at 7.45pm.
