It's always one of the big awards of the ceremony and the winner for Best Newcomer at the NTAs has been revealed.
The accolade is a keenly contested category year after year and in the past people like Danny Walters, Rita Simons and Antony Cotton.
The actors in line for Best Newcomer at the NTAs 2020 were Imran Adams (Mitchell Deveraux, Hollyoaks) Jurell Carter (Nate Robinson, Emmerdale), Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell, EastEnders) and Peter Ash (Paul Foreman, Coronation Street) and the award went to Peter.
Peter is an English actor from Moston, Greater Manchester who has starred in British television series such as Casualty, Hollyoaks and Footballers' Wives, where he memorably played Tanya Turner's toy boy Darius Fry.
Peter thanked his mum, dad, girlfriend and son in his acceptance speech and the Corrie writers who have responsible for his abuse storyline, as well as Manchester charity Survivors who he worked closely with on the plot.
