Who is on the Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy tonight and what time is it on? All you need to know

After The Toy Show gave the nation's spirits a lift last week, it's back to the norm for Ryan Tubridy and this week's lineup has an impressive musical flavour to it.

This week's edition of The Late Late Show will feature a tribute to Sharon Shannon , who's been a major contributor to the Irish traditional music scene for a number of decades.

The musician known for her talents on the button accordion will be in the studio for the special evening honouring her work over the years.

During the show, Sharon will also be joined by some well-known Irish musicians including U2's Adam Clayton, Donal Lunny, Denise Chaila, Steve Wickham, and Mundy to perform some of her best-known numbers for viewers at home.

It will also a family affair, as Sharon's brother Gary and niece Caolinn O'Donovan will also be joining in the trad session.

President Michael D. Higgins will also be in studio as he pays tribute to Shannon's remarkable career.

Elsewhere, Toy Show star Adam King will return to the show as he chats with his hero, astronaut Chris Hadfield.

Last week, Adam won the hearts of the nation when he told Ryan Tubridy of his ambition to work at grounds control at NASA during his appearance on The Late Late Toy Show.

After a whirlwind week for the 6-year-old, Adam will be chatting with Ryan and astronaut Chris Hadfield - a hero of Adam's with more than a few miles in space under his belt - for a heartwarming interview on tomorrow night's show.

Another musical guest on this week's 'Late Late Show' will be Take That lead singer Gary Barlow where he'll be performing his new single.

There's no doubt that Barlow will also be chatting about that beautiful 'Rule the World' duet with singer Eva Norton on 'The Late Late Toy Show'.

Finally, with the hurling and Gaelic football championships entering their finals stages, Tubridy will also be joined by GAA President John Horan and sports broadcaster Damien Lawlor to discuss the last few games of what has been an unprecedented season for all involved in GAA.

The Late Late Show airs Friday December 5th at 9.35 pm on RTÉ One.
