Who is Naga Munchetty's husband James Haggar – and how did the couple meet?

BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty has enjoyed a 13-year marriage with husband James Haggar.

The pair live in Hertfordshire and Naga often shares pictures of them playing golf or sharing a drink with friends.

TV star Naga, 46, typically keeps her private life out of the spotlight but once revealed the secrets to her happy marriage with TV consultant James.

She told The Guardian in 2016 'golf' and 'being kind to each other' was the key to their relationship.

She said: "It [golf] gives us a few hours together when we’re walking and talking and catching up; it really makes a difference.

"When James and I got married almost 12 years ago, one of his aunts said to us: the best bit of advice I can give you is to simply be kind to one another. She was right."

The Mirror takes a look inside the couple's marriage and finds out how they met.

James worked as a senior director for CNBC International for a decade before joining Sky where he is a television director and broadcast consultant.

He also worked as a senior director on Five News/OK TV for BSkyB between 2005 and 2012.

He's also worked for ITV Studios for two years, before going freelance in 2014 as a multi-camera director and broadcast consultant.

James also works on Sky News panel show The Pledge and is a keen golfer and snooker player.

The BBC Breakfast presenter previously wrote that her husband is a "feminist".

She said: "My husband proudly declares himself a feminist, as do many of our friends, male and female – I think it's very hard not to."

How did they first meet?

Naga and James had their first date at a pool club - it was a perfectly fitting location as they are both the snooker fans loved.

Although they've remained tight-lipped about what happened on their first romantic liaison, it appears things went very well as they went on to date for several years before getting married in 2007.

Naga previously discussed her successful relationship on Her Spirit podcast.

She said: "James and I don't row, and he's a lovely, lovely man, he's definitely the better half.

"Golf takes you on a journey together, and it means you stay in touch with one another."

The journalist also recently told how she " doesn't do Valentines day ", but said her and her husband are still an affectionate couple.

She told BBC Radio 5 Live: "Head rub! I gave a head rub yesterday and it was received with such gratitude!"

Do they have kids?

Naga and James do not share any children but they share two Siamese cats named Kinky and Ronnie.

Last year Naga opened up about their decision not to have children, revealing that she has been branded "wicked" for not creating a brood in the past.

During a discussion on BBC Radio 5 Live last year, Naga, said: "I remember when I told someone that I had decided I didn't want children, someone told me I was wicked. Wicked against my mother for denying her grandchildren . It's quite interesting, isn't it, how people react?"

She added: "I'm past the age now where people expect me to have children. But people can be quite forthright: 'Oh, you can't have them?

"I think people find it unusual that both in the relationship have agreed or decided or come to the conclusion that they don't want children.

Naga went on to say that "funnily enough" she is "really good with babies".

She said: "I think I don't have that anxiety, so I can actually stop them crying.

"Which always surprises all of my friends with newborn babies because they're always a little bit scared when I take them."
