American businesswoman Marianne Rawlins is planning for a win on The Apprentice 2019.
Marianne, 36, lives in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
Originally from the US, she is the owner of a risk management consultancy.
Ahead of the show Marianne said: "My business has been a success in the US and I want to bring it to the UK because I want to keep going until I take over the world."
She moved to the UK in 2017 and thinks she might have to "dial down her American-ness" for the show.
Marianne thinks her fellow contestants may misjudge her - and she hopes that they do.
She said: "I’m definitely the epitome of ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ because what you see is not what you get.
"Often my bubbly nature is a bit disarming for the people on the other side of a negotiating table.
"Like at a poker table for example, I'd make a ditsy comment or something like 'you're king's good' then everybody's disarmed and nobody's looking out for me.
"And then before they know it, I actually won the deal."
Although she says she's often underestimated, she knows she'll be a serious contender this year: "I may be one of the most competitive people you will ever meet - but I do it with a smile.
"You're not going to see me coming out guns a blazing in an obvious way.
"But I'm very much competing every day, all day, in everything that I do."
The Apprentice has returned for an 15th series with a fresh new batch of ambitious entrepreneurs.
Contestants will take on 12 tough tasks for their chance to become Lord Sugar's business partner and win the £250,000 investment.
In the series opener, we will also see contestants take on a challenge in South Africa.
The Apprentice 2019 stars on Wednesday, October 2 at 9pm on BBC One.
