Who is Man City's greatest number 7 - you decide

Manchester City's number 7 shirt has been worn by some of the club's greatest-ever players.

From heroes of the Blues' 1960s success stories to stars of today's trophy-laden squads, it's been a lucky number for some Manchester City greats.

Fans often debate who are the best-ever players to wear City 's famous number 7 shirt, and now we want you to have your say on the matter.

We've created (with difficulty) a shortlist, and we want you to vote for the player who deserves the accolade.

Here are the nominations, in no particular order:

Mike Summerbee

The current Manchester City ambassador was one of the most influential figures of the Blues' successful era in the late 60s and early 70s.

The Preston-born winger – voted player of the year by City fans in 72 and 73 – was good enough to rub shoulders with Pele and Bobby Moore in Escape to Victory.

Dennis Tueart

Tueart was a superb, tricky winger who delivered an impressive haul of 109 goals in his two City spells, either side of a year spent playing alongside Franz Beckenbauer at New York Cosmos.

In one of the most abiding moments in City history the right winger scored a fantastic overhead kick (pictured) as they won the 1976 League Cup final.

Giorgi Kinkladze

The diminutive Georgian arrived as a relative unknown at City, but quickly won the hearts of the Maine Road faithful with his dazzling displays in midfield.

The twinkle-toed magician scored a Messi-esque goal against Southampton with a mazy run finished topped off with a delightful chip, and won successive player of the year awards in the mid-90s.

Since his arrival from Liverpool, Sterling has been central to City's incredible success in recent years - three Premier League titles, five League Cups and an FA Cup makes him among the most decorated City players of all time.

He's approaching 300 appearances for the club, and in time could add to that tally of honours and truly become a club great.

James Milner

Milner could be seen as the most vital cog in the City squad that transformed into serial winners in the years following the takeover.

In more than 200 appearances, his versatility and dependability saw him hailed as perhaps the club's most unsung hero in a time that changed Manchester City forever.

Francis Lee

Part of the formidable attack in City's 1960/70s glory years, Francis Lee was voted City player of the year in 1970 when they won the European Cup Winners Cup.

The striker was City chairman in 1994-98.
