Who is LizLaz, the German influencer and singer who claimed she was offered money to speak against Virat Kohli?

German influencer and singer LizLaz is once again making headlines. This time, she claimed that an unidentified journalist offered her money to make false allegations against Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.

However, she has not revealed the identity of the journalist.

This is not the first time LizLaz has been in the news in connection with Kohli.

The influencer went viral in April this year after the Royal Challengers Bengaluru star allegedly “liked” one of her Instagram photos.

Kohli later issued a clarification, saying, “I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”

Who is LizLaz?

LizLaz, also known as Jennifer, is a German-South African travel vlogger and singer. She began trending in India after Virat Kohli allegedly liked one of her social media posts.

Known for her cultural storytelling, multilingual content, and viral videos such as “Samosa Samosa,” LizLaz has built a strong fanbase in India. According to her Instagram bio, she is based in Germany and holds a master’s degree in Psychology.

She is fluent in German, English, and Dutch, and has also learned Hindi along with a few regional Indian languages. Many of her Instagram videos feature interactions with locals in cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.

Earlier, one of her videos about surviving Bengaluru’s long traffic jams went viral, highlighting her ability to capture hyper-local moments. Her podcast discussing lifestyle differences between India and Germany also resonated with Indian audiences.
