Marvel's Wolverine, Insomniac's upcoming superhero action game which at one point we thought would never see the light of day, has recently received a new trailer.
We have also been shown Logan's voice and motion capture actor, Liam McIntyre, who sounds awfully similar to Wolverine's live-action actor Hugh Jackman, and they're even both Australian. But while the latter needs no introduction, who exactly is Liam McIntyre, and what makes him the perfect choice for the role of Logan in a Wolverine game.
Quite a lot, actually, so here's everything you need to know.
Who is Liam McIntyre?

Born in 1982 in Adelaide, Liam McIntyre is an Australian actor, with extensive experience across various genres and formats, including film, television, and video games. His most well-known projects include Spartacus: Vegeance, Spartacus: War of the Damned, Star Wars Resistance, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, among others.
But McIntyre's career stands out for Wolverine in particular due to his vast experience in comic book adaptations, no matter the format. He played Captain Boomerang in Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay and Justice League Dark: Apokolips War animated films, Weather Wizard in Marvel's The Flash television series, and Aquaman in Justice Society: World War II and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths.
On top of his prolific comic book experience, McIntyre also had more than a few run-ins with video games, and not in small roles or franchises. He was JD Fenix in Gears of War 4 and 5, Taron Malicos in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and had several roles in Star Trek Online.
With Wolverine now on the way, and his role as Logan, we are bound to see McIntyre more in video games, though his voice, as we've seen above, appears in quite a few adaptations and characters, both major and minor.

He clearly knows his way around all the different modern entertainment formats, and has a great mastery of voice, not least because he naturally has a deep and serious tone that'll lend itself perfectly to the role of Logan.
Insomniac is upping the ante with this game, focusing a lot more on the action, violence, and gore present in the Wolverine comics, and McIntyre's rugged sound is certainly going to help promote a version of Logan we haven't seen in a long while (outside of comics, that is).
If I hadn't known otherwise, I would have easily confused him with Hugh Jackman, on account of both being Australian and having iconic, rugged, and serious voices, which especially stand out coming from the original X Man himself.
