There wasn't much change in the overall classification on the penultimate day of the 2025 Tour de France as Kaden Groves (Alpecing-Deceuninck) soloed to victory on a day for the breakaway in the Jura.
The peloton finished more than seven minutes behind the leaders, which meant that Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) will go into the final stage of this year's edition with a comfortable lead over Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike). The only shift in the top-10 was due to TotalEnergies' Jordan Jegat sneaking into the break, replacing Jayco-AlUla's Ben O'Connor in 10th placed overall.
The large breakaway meant there were no points scored today by Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) or Pogačar in the green jersey classification. The Italian is well clear of the soon-to-be four-time Tour winner heading into the final stage.
While Vingegaard wore the polka-dots today, he still trails Pogačar in the mountains classification – but will wear them again tomorrow with the race leader already wearing yellow.
