Who is joining The Witcher season 3 cast on Netflix and who are they playing?

The Witcher season three has been one of the most talked-about and highly anticipated series coming to Netflix of late. The fantasy drama starring Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg) and Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra) has proved a big hit with fans since season one's release in 2019.

Following on from Season 2, we recently learned more about what fans can expect from series three with the release of the Netflix official logline: "As monarchs, mages and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it."

"Entrusted with Ciri's magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl's untapped powers; instead, they discover they've landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever."

In other big news, several new faces have been revealed by Netflix to join the cast for the upcoming season three. Below we explain the most noteworthy additions to the cast.

Who is joining The Witcher season 3 cast?

Four new cast members will be joining the latest series of The Witcher, and they look to be playing some truly fascinating characters, shrouded in mystery.

Hugh Skinner (playing Prince Radovid)

British actor Hugh Skinner will be familiar to comedy fans for his role as Prince William in The Windsors and for his part in The Romanoffs, an anthology series about possible descendants of the Russian royal family.

In The Witcher season 3, he will be playing Prince Radovid, the younger brother of King Vizimir. Described as a "Royal playboy", Netflix tells us : "With his good looks and often drunken charm, Radovid surprises with how incisive he can be in politics, but it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. "

Christelle Elwin (playing Mistle)

Christelle Elwin is no stranger to fantasy acting, as she is due to appear in Netflix's upcoming adaptation of Sally Green's YA fantasy trilogy Half Bad, as well as in The Witcher.

Christelle will be playing Mistle, a member of a street gang called The Rats, an almost Robbin Hood-type group that steals from the rich and occasionally pass on to the poor. Netflix describes her as "street hard, suspicious of everyone and out for revenge, until a chance meeting that changes everything."

Robbie Amell (playing Gallatin)

Robbie Amell currently stars in Upload, a comedy-drama series created by Greg Daniels, which is about a man who can choose his own virtual afterlife. However, he'll also be familiar to fans as Wesley Rush from The Duff and Stephen Jameson in The Tomorrow People.

In Witcher season 3, he'll be playing Gallatin, the leader of a guerrilla army of Scoia'tael fighting for Nilfgaard. Netflix describes the character by saying: "Unafraid to speak his truth, Gallatin's loyalty to his people ultimately leads him on a collision course with Francesca over power."

Meng'er Zhang (playing Milva)

Formerly appearing in Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, Chinese actor Meng'er Zhang is also no stranger to the stage, having starred in productions like Oliver Twist and The Merchant of Venice.

Her character in Witcher, Milva, is a talented huntress with skills in archery and survival who was adopted by the dryads of Brokilon Forest. Netflix describes her as "a formidable adversary", saying "those that cross her do so at their peril."
