Who is Jemelin Artigas in The Apprentice 2019?

Jemelin Artigas, 34, is hoping to wow Lord Sugar in this year's series of The Apprentice.

Born in Venezuela, Jemelin, was homeless when she moved to the UK 17 years ago and began her working life flyering and cleaning toilets.

But through her determination she now works as a successful network marketing consultant.

Jemelin, who lives in South East London, considers herself "1000 per cent" committed to winning each task and said she could "sell ice to an Eskimo."

She is competitive and fearless when it comes to business and likes things done her way.

Being "next-level stubborn" in the competition could hold her back but she remains adamant that always has solutions to problems.

Jamelin said she used to be a barking chihuahua but now she's a shark in business and is hungry for success.

The Apprentice 2019 candidates

The Apprentice has returned for a 15th series with a fresh new batch of ambitious entrepreneurs.

Contestants will take on 12 tough tasks for their chance to become Lord Sugar's business partner and win the £250,000 investment.

In the series opener, we will also see contestants take on a challenge in South Africa.

The Apprentice 2019 stars on Wednesday, October 2 at 9pm on BBC One.
