The internet has a new icon and her name is Jackie Weaver.
The coronavirus pandemic has forced us all to use video conferencing platforms like Zoom over the past year, whether it be for quizzes, team briefings, drinks with friends or family catch ups.
Meetings have also been forced to switch to Zoom and what you would have imagined to be a rather inoffensive Zoom gathering of Handforth Parish Council has now gone viral after tensions boiled over in dramatic fashion.
The Planning and Environment Committee meeting hit headlines on Friday after footage was widely shared on social media and was a big talking point on Good Morning Britain, with hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins left speechless by what they saw.
The woman at the centre of the drama is council clerk Jackie Weaver who leaves some of the council members fuming as she boots Chair of the council, Councillor Brian Tolver off the call, after he told her she "had no authority here!"
Jackie then instructs the remaining members to appoint a new chair as Councillor Brewerton fires back: "No they can't because the vice-chair's here, I take charge!"
He then shouts: "Read the standing orders! Read them and understand them!"
By Friday morning, t-shirts appeared online carrying the words 'You Have No Authority Here Jackie Weaver,' and a parody account appeared on Twitter in her honour with the handle @TheJackieWeaver.
An overnight star, Jackie is the meeting clerk from the Cheshire Association of Local Councils, hence her appearance in the Handforth meeting.
By lunchtime on Friday she was one of the top trends on Twitter and the subject of plenty of memes, taking inspiration from everything from Come Dine With Me's famous 'what a sad little life' moment to RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
Reacting to her role in the Handforth Parish Council chaos, one fan tweeted: " #JACKIEWEAVER has Full authority she is the don!" and another reacted: "Oscar nod incoming for Jackie Weaver. It would honestly be the perfect end to, well, everything.
