Who is Jack Woolley? The Irish Olympian set to appear on tonights Late Late Show

Jack Woolley is set to make an appearance on tonights Late Late Show so here's everything you need to know about the Dubliner.

The martial artist has become a household name after representing Ireland at Tokyo 2020.

But, who is Jack Woolley?

Where is he from?

Jack Woolley is from Jobstown in Tallaght.

How old is he?

Jack is currently 22 but turns 23 on September 23.

What sport does he compete in?

Woolley competes in Taekwondo made history when he became the first Irish representative to compete in that sport at Tokyo 2020.

Despite being one of the favourites for gold, Woolley suffered heartbreak in the round of 32 when he lost to Lucas Guzman of Argentina.

Woolley regularly medals at Taekwondo events and currently has three silver and one bronze from European championships and one bronze from Grand Prix events.

He's currently ranked third in the world in the 58kg weight class.

Dublin City Assault

Woolley made international headlines after being the victim of a random assault on the quays.

The Tallaght native was out with a group of friends celebrating when he was randomly attacked and left bloodied on the streets.

Taking to Instagram to speak about the attack, Woolley wrote: "So basically, I was crossing over the road and there was a load of people, and they just punched me in the mouth."

Woolley required reconstructive surgery on his lip.
