Who is Ibrahim Sissoko? Profile on striker Nottingham Forest are making a 'prioity' signing

Nottingham Forest continue to be linked with a move for striker Ibrahim Sissoko.

Sissoko, who currently plays for French second-tier side FC Chamois Niort, is rumoured to be a target for Forest this month with reports in France suggesting that he is a 'priority' for Sabri Lamouchi's side.

Fellow Championship promotion-chasers Leeds United .

Aged 24 and six foot-three-inches tall, Sissoko hails from Creteil, a suburb of Paris.

He came through the ranks at L'Entente SSG, a fourth-tier side in the French capital.

Sissoko has already had spells at five different clubs but appears to have settled at Chamois.

He joined the club in the summer from Lorient and has hit the ground running, scoring eight times in 14 matches prompting links with Forest.

He hasn't scored since his eighth goal of the season, though, his last strike coming on November 22.

In fairness to Sissoko, the French league is taking its annual winter break with the last game on December 21.

Sissoko is under contract until 2022 and has also turned out for Epinal, and Beziers.

The centre-forward won promotion to the French second tier with Beziers in 2017-18, netting eight goals and recording three asissts.

He then joined Lorient half-way through the following season but found action hard to come by with the Brittany club, making just four appearances before returning to Beziers on loan last year.

His highlight reel from this season so far shows a player who is a cool customer in front of goal.

He is of Malian descent.
