Who is Iasha Masood in The Apprentice 2019?

Ready to impress Lord Sugar on this year's series of The Apprentice is Iasha Masood.

Iasha, 27, is an account manager from Manchester who describes herself as "one fierce businesswoman with both sass and class."

She has faced adversity in the past but has always fought back and said "Whatever stood in my way, I've got through it."

Iasha has seen a lot of success so far in her career but it's not always as it seems.

She said: "It's quite a weird thing to say but I wish I could be less driven.

"I'm grateful because I've been successful but it's exhausting.

She considers herself to be "the star that shines the brightest" and is hoping that her natural persona will land her in the final.

She has a crazy, controversial and eccentric personality but knows how to put on a game face.

"I'm a really emotional person so when I'm happy - I'm so happy, and when I'm angry - I'm so angry.

"But If I come into a board meeting, I'm not going to be wearing my heart on my sleeve.

"People aren't going to see that because if they see weakness they're going to try and bring you down."

Iasha is hoping her fellow candidates will underestimate her: “I can read people just by looking at their body language, they won’t realise it until it’s too late – and checkmate.”

The Apprentice has returned for an 15th series with a fresh new batch of ambitious entrepreneurs.

Contestants will take on 12 tough tasks for their chance to become Lord Sugar's business partner and win the £250,000 investment.

In the series opener, we will also see contestants take on a challenge in South Africa.

The Apprentice 2019 stars on Wednesday, October 2 at 9pm on BBC One.
