Who is hosting the Brits this year? Award ceremony to turn 40 in style

It's one of the best but also most scrutinised jobs in showbiz and the identity of the Brits 2020 host has been revealed.

As you know if you've watched the Brit Awards over the years, some hosts haven't fared too well behind the rostrum, mentioning no names *Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood*.

Other hosts over the years have included The Osbournes, Ant & Dec, Davina McCall, Ben Elton and James Corden, who famously cut short Adele's acceptance speech.

The will happen later this month, with coverage of the O2 Arena ceremony airing on ITV and performers set to include Lewis Capaldi and Rod Stewart, who will close the night.

Lewis also leads the , along rappers Stormzy and Dave.

And we also know who will be tasked with keeping things under control.

For the third year in a row the Brit Awards will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall.

Following the announcement, he said: "I'm excited for another night of trying not to put my foot in it in front of the biggest names in the music industry."

Last year, Jack had a rather awkward moment with Little Mix, when he quizzed the girlband on their feud with Piers Morgan.
