Who is headlining Glastonbury 2020? Here are the names currently rumoured for the Pyramid Stage

As this year's Glastonbury memories slowly drift further away, all attention is being turned to the next shindig.

The UK's biggest music festival returns from June 24 to June 28 next year and even though every year is a special occasion, 2020 is set to be bigger and better than ever as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.

In 2019, Stormzy, The Killers, The Cure, Kylie, Liam Gallagher , Janet Jackson and Lauryn Hill were just some of the mega names to take to the Pyramid Stage during the epic summer event in front of hundreds of thousands of festival-goers.

With tickets on sale this week, and expected to be snapped up in a matter of minutes, talk has turned to the line-up.

Often kept tight-lipped, who will be gracing one the iconic stage is completely under wraps.

But that hasn't stopped the rumour mill from spinning or the bookmakers from making their predictions.

If the latest odds are anything to go by, a dose of girl power could be heading to Worthy Farm.

After a successful reunion and string of stadium shows including here in Manchester last year, it is currently the Spice Girls who are leading the way with Betway offering odds of 5/1.

Scary Spice Mel B has not dismissed the rumours either admitting earlier this year that her plan is to have all five original members - that's Posh Spice Victoria Beckham included - perform at the event's 50th anniversary.

Though it is American songstress Taylor Swift that is currently topping the list for favourite to headline.

The   Shake It Off   singer announced a string of festival dates for 2020 but eagle-eyed fans spotted that no UK dates have been announced and there is a convenient gap that could see her slip in to the line-up perfectly.

Taylor currently has odds of 4/6 swiftly - if you pardon the pun - followed by rock legends Fleetwood Mac at 4/5, Manchester band The 1975 at 6/4 and even Sir Elton John makes the list at 11/4.

Arctic Monkeys, Ariana Grande and The Kinks are also tipped.

Betway's Alan Alger said: "Though they are a band member down, the Spice Girls continue to sell out stadiums across the world and a trip to Glastonbury doesn’t look out of the question either.

"Victoria Beckham is reportedly keen on playing at Worthy Farm with her former bandmates next year and we make the iconic group 5/1 to headline the famous Pyramid Stage in 2020.

"Taylor Swift is another to be strongly linked with a spot on the main stage and she is our 4/6 favourite ahead of Fleetwood Mac at 4/5, while others further down the betting include Elton John at 11/4 and Ed Sheeran at 10/1."
