A newbie has joined the cast of the much-loved Clarkson’s Farm TV series on Amazon.
The show, which charts the day-to-day life of Jeremy Clarkson’s farm based in the Cotswolds, is back for its fourth series on Amazon Prime.
In previous series, we have seen Kaleb Cooper working the helm, but now a new young farmhand will be stepping into his shoes as Kaleb goes on tour with his own live show.
Harriet Cowan, a 24-year-old full-time nurse and farmer from Derbyshire is joining the cast to replace Cooper.
In the trailer for the new series, Jeremy Clarkson explains that while he is happy for Kaleb, the farm manager has left him "slightly in the lurch" by swanning off around the UK.
But who is Clarkson’s latest star and what will she bring to the show?
Who is Harriet Cowan?
Harriet Cowan is a 24-year-old woman who is both a dab hand on the farm and a highly qualified nurse.
She has picked both careers after being inspired by both of her parents, whom she remains close to.
Her mum worked as a nurse who hoped her daughter would follow in her footsteps, while her father runs the family farm and hoped Harriet would grow up to help him.
She picked both and in 2023, she graduated from the University of Derby where she studied nursing.
She now works full time in the nursing role, but has always helped her father out - and is known for campaigning for farmer’s rights.
She was previously named her town's Young Farmers' spokesperson and continues to use social media to highlight the realities of working on a farm.
Despite initially admitting she had never watched Clarkson's Farm before joining, Harriet got stuck in on Diddly Squat farm quickly, helping to tend to animals, erect fences, and tidy up the yard to her exacting standards.
Cowan is active on social media, with more than 500,000 followers on TikTok (up from 35,000 at the start of the season) and a growing Instagram presence to match.
She has used her platform to promote her role on Clarkson's Farm by posting the trailer with the caption: "Ekkkk something exciting is coming on the 23rd of may."
Who is Harriet Cowan with?
Cowan is reportedly in a relationship with fellow farmer James Booth, who appears to share her passion for agriculture and appears regularly on her Instagram and social media accounts.
The couple attended the Farmers Protest in London together in November 2024, where thousands gathered to protest against planned agricultural inheritance taxation policies.
At the protest, Cowan joined Clarkson on Parliament Square, advocating for farmers' rights and highlighting the importance of British agriculture.
When is Clarkson’s Farm series four out?
The new series will continue showing the farm on a day-to-day basis and will also follow Clarkson as he attempts to open a pub as part of his Farm to Fork restaurant vision.
The fourth series is made up of eight episodes, which will have a staggered release over three weeks. The first four episodes dropped on Amazon Prime on May 23, followed by two more on May 30, and the final two set to air on June 6.
