Monty Don OBE is a horticulturist, broadcaster and writer who has been the lead presenter of the BBC gardening series, Gardeners' World, since 2003.
The first episode of the new series of Gardeners' World aired on BBC Two at 8pm on Friday (March 11). The programme provides advice for green fingered viewers.
Monty Don's tips cater for gardeners with a wide range of budgets. Back in 2020, the series reached peak viewing figures of 2.7 million per week, as the pandemic saw gardening skyrocket in popularity.

The episodes last for an hour. The BBC teased the new series, saying: "At Longmeadow, Monty Don embarks on an exciting new project, sows perennial seeds and gives a tree-planting masterclass. Adam Frost visits a garden in Suffolk, where an imaginative selection of evergreen planting creates structure and interest all year round."
Who is Gardeners' World presenter Monty Don and what books has he published?
Monty Don replaced Alan Titchmarsh as the lead host of Gardener's World and has produced several garden series of his own. The most recent being Monty Don's Adriatic Gardens, which started in January this year.
Monty wrote a joint autobiography with his wife Sarah, called The Jewel Garden: A Story of Despair and Redemption in 2004. He has also written American Gardens, The Complete Gardener, Nigel: My Family and Other Dogs, Gardening at Longmeadow and Fork to Fork.
