Francesco Molinari, the man leading the 2019 Masters heading into the final round, has been married to his partner, Valentina, since 2007.
Valentina is also from Italy and the pair got married in their homeland before laying down roots in the UK, where they currently reside.
They couple have two children together. A son, named Tomasso and a young daughter, whose name has not been revealed.
Valentina has an MBA in London from the European Business MBSC and Francesco has said in an interview that she has a love for art shows, exhibitions, theater and culture.
She used to follow Francesco regularly on tour, but since the birth of their children, travel has become more difficult.
“We have Skype for that now. We’re quite lucky to live in an age where technology has made the world so much smaller and keep my flight costs down. It’s hard to stay away,” he said in an interview with Golf Punk.
When the pair celebrated their 10-year anniversary two years ago, Francesco posted a romantic message on Instagram .
It read: “Ten years. Ten years of you. Ten years of life. Ten years that seem to have flown. Ten years sharing everything. Ten years to feel loved as I am. Ten years to love you more and more. Ten years and I feel lucky. Ten years to be proud of you. Ten years since the most beautiful day.”
The Open Champion held the overnight lead heading into the final round of the 2019 Masters and is hoping to claim the second major of his career today.
He held a two-shot lead overnight.
“My plan for (Sunday) is to do out the same but there are a few guys who would like to mess up my plans,” he said.
