Who is Fayth Ifil on Britain's Got Talent and how old is she? Singer appears on Saturday' show

A young singer will aim to blow the judges away for a second time on Saturday night's first Britain's Got Talent semi-final.

Fayth Ifil blew everyone away at her audition when she performed a riproaring cover of Tina Turner's Proud Mary, impressed now absent judge Simon Cowell so much that he hit his Golden Buzzer for her.

Simon told Fayth: "I absolutely love your personality. You've seen the support you've had from 3,000 people in here and just to give you a bit more support, I'm going to give you one of those," before leaning over the judges' table to hit the buzzer, sending gold confetti falling from the air and Faith and her mum into floods of tears."

Simon then told her "you could sing the phone book...that was an amazing audition" and the other judges were equally impressed, with David Walliams, who pressed his Golden Buzzer for the Sign Along Choir in show one, telling her she was "born to be a superstar."

Who is Fayth Ifil?

Fayth, 12, is no stranger to a Tina Turner classic having played the famous singer in her childhood days in West End smash Tina the Musical last year and in a special performance for Children in Need.

Prior to that, Fayth also tread the boards in London's theatre land in School of Rock.

A casting website describes Fayth as: "a highly creative, talented and bright young lady who would like to show what she can do to the world."
