There are no titles on the line in this 10-round featherweight bout. Frampton is hoping to use it as a tune-up for a potential showdown with WBO world champion Oscar Valdez later in the year.

Recent form

Dominquez is coming off the back of two stoppage wins including a knockout success against Jose Roberto Gonzalez last time out. His last defeat was back in March when he was stopped by England's Jordan Gill in Peterborough.

Frampton's last fight ended in disappointment when he suffered a unanimous points loss to Josh Warrington in their IBF featherweight world title fight in Manchester. Previous to that The Jackal had won three on the bounce including an impressive points victory over Nonito Donaire and a stoppage win over Luke Jackson at Windsor Park.

What have they said?

Frampton : “Dominguez is a tall, young, hungry featherweight, so I’ll need to be on my game. The premise of an Oscar Valdez fight is dangling in front of me, so I want to go out and show the world that I’ve still got what it takes to be a world champion. Winning is always the most important thing, but I want to do it in style. It’s great to be boxing Stateside again. And Philly, in particular, has so much boxing history. I’d like to thank MTK Global and Top Rank for giving me the opportunity. I won’t disappoint.”

Dominguez : "Carl Frampton is already looking ahead to an Oscar Valdez fight, which gives me added motivation. I am not a stepping stone. I am coming to Philadelphia prepared to ruin Carl's plans."
