

Raquel Bouris, the co-founder of cult Aussie perfume brand Who Is Elijah, has responded to claims regarding the company’s alleged subtantial tax debt and toxic workplace.
According to a report by The Daily Telegraph, CreditorWatch has claiemd that the perfume brand owe more than $1.4 million (AUD) in tax and more than $280,000 to suppliers, with the financial agency dubbing the Aussie company an “impaired risk”.
The revelation comes after Raquel, alongside Adam Bouris, claimed they built a $20 million empire out of the perfume brand and make $2.2 million in profits during Black Friday 2023.

Per the publication, Who Is Elijah has two invoice defaults registered, including a Sydney-based ingredient supplier who trades under Baker & Co, and an Adelaide-based e-commerce provider Eccom Nation.
This month, Baker & Co registered $224,378 in outstanding debt since November, and Ecom Nation claims it’s been owed $57,808 since last December.
