Who is Conor McGregor's sparring partner Dylan Moran? All you need to know about man who left UFC fighter bloodied

Conor McGregor has drafted in fellow countryman Dylan Moran, who has a professional boxing record of 15-1, as he completes his training for his clash with Dustin Poirier.

The Notorious has praised the young Waterford native calling him a 'a phenomenally exciting Irish talent.'

Dylan, 26 was with Conor for the first part of his training camp in Portugal and rejoined him earlier last week for the final stages of the camp.

Asked about the sessions with Dylan on social media, the former two-weight UFC champion said: "Very tough! I got a nice a shot that clipped the nose upward and made it bleed.

"The rounds were super close though; razor! Dylan is one of the better boxers I've ever shared the ring with. A phenomenally exciting Irish talent!"

Dylan has been very impressed with the professionalism of the training camp so far.

He told Irish-boxing.com: "I’ve enjoyed every second of it to be honest.

“The whole set up is unreal, there’s a big team involved and a lot of good people, the training is high level.

“I’m just soaking it all up fights don’t get bigger then this so it’s really interesting to be involved and see how things are done at this level.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to experience and it’s just as I taught it would be. Everything is fine tuned, done like clockwork everyday, no guess work involved at all.”

Moran has labelled Conor McGregor 'the Michael Jordan of his generation'.

He added: "Conor is the Micheal Jordan of this generation and to be asked to be involved with him and help him in the little way that I am is surreal.”

Dylan hopes to have some big fights in 2021 after finishing preparations for Conor's fight.

Conor McGregor will rematch his rival Poirier on Saturday week at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi, more than six years after he stopped the American in the first round.

The invitation follows on from McGregor trading blows with boxers Conor Wallace and Tiernan Bradley in recent years.
