French teenager Billy Koumetio has been handed a place on the bench for Liverpool's clash with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
The 16-year-old central defender has been a regular for Liverpool's Under-18 side this season and is a French youth international.
Born in Lyon in 2002, Koumetio came through the Ligue 1 giants' academy before moving to Orleans FC, who play in the second tier of French football.
The youngster was scouted and signed by the Reds in 2018 after a successful trial with Liverpool's U17s in Berlin in November of that year.
Koumetio plays on the left side of defence and represents another recruit in Liverpool's heavy investment in youth in recent years, with the likes of Ki-Jana Hoever, Yasser Larouci and Matteo Rittacio joining the club.
He joins Curtis Jones, Herbie Kane, Larouci, Pedro Chirivella and Leighton Clarkson on a very youthful Liverpool bench for the clash with the Gunners.
