Who is Albinder Dhindsa, Eternal Limited’s New Group CEO?

A Startup Veteran at the Helm

Dhindsa, often called “Albi” by his team, co-founded Blinkit in 2013, when it was still known as Grofers. In 2021, he transformed the company into a 10-minute grocery delivery platform, establishing it as a leader in the quick commerce space. Under his leadership, Blinkit has become a central growth driver for Eternal Limited.

Early Challenges and Triumphs

After Zomato acquired Blinkit in 2022, the integration faced initial hurdles. Dhindsa was reportedly asked to step down twice but remained committed, resolving the challenges and securing Blinkit’s position as a key business for the group.

Education and Global Exposure

Dhindsa studied civil engineering at IIT Delhi before earning his MBA from Columbia Business School. He also worked briefly at UBS Investment Bank and previously at Zomato as Head of International Expansion. This blend of startup experience and global business insight equips him to lead Eternal Limited in a competitive market.

Managing Both Zomato and Blinkit

As Group CEO, Dhindsa will oversee both Zomato’s food delivery operations and Blinkit’s fast grocery services. Meanwhile, Goyal, as Vice Chairman, will focus on high-risk and new projects, leaving Dhindsa to manage the company’s daily operations.

Albinder Dhindsa’s new role marks a turning point for Eternal Limited, highlighting Blinkit’s growing significance and the company’s focus on innovation and growth.
