Who is Adele Roberts in I'm A Celebrity 2019?

She may be a radio presenter but this isn't the first time Adele Roberts has appeared on the small screen.

The BBC Radio1 DJ will take her place alongside nine other celebrities in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2019.

But Adele made her first reality TV appearance in 2002 when she appeared on Channel 4's Big Brother.

One of 12 'civilian' housemates to enter the famous home, she starred alongside This Morning's Alison Hammond and the late Jade Goody and was just 23-years-old at the time.

Adele, 40, now presents the Early Breakfast Show on Radio 1 which she has done for four years and regularly stands in for fellow radio stars Alice Levine and Clara Amfo.

She thinks that she will be the emotional one on this year's show, admitting she is 'very non-confrontational'.

"I get emotional when I don't have food," Adele said prior to touching down in Oz. !There will be some tears! But I am hoping to learn lots about myself when I am in the Jungle."

She has also admitted that spiders are her biggest phobia and that she is so scared of the eight-legged insect that she has to have cedar blocks around her house to prevent them from daring to enter it.

Adele said: "I've only camped once and that was the worst night of my life.

"I hate spiders. If I see one, I can't speak, I freeze and I do this weird thing where I wring my hands together!

"I don't know where it has come from but as I have got older, I have hated them more and it has now got to the point where I have to have cedar blocks in my house!"

I'm a Celebrity 2019 begins on Sunday, November 17 at 9pm on ITV.
