Who is Abdul Abdulmalik? The Millwall teenager wanted by Arsenal, Rangers and Swansea City

Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Millwall youngster Abdul Abdulmalik, football.london understands.

The 18-year-old forward is yet to sign a professional contract, but does not plan on doing so at the Championship club.

Abdulmalik has never played a first-team game for the Lions, but showed what he was capable of in the FA Youth Cup for the Under-18s last season, where he scored four goals in six appearances.

The Gunners are understood to be watching the teenage talent with keen interest, but they are not alone in doing so, with Scottish champions Rangers and Championship side Swansea City also monitoring his situation.

Millwall confirmed they had offered Abdulmalik a professional contract with the club when they announced their retained list last month.

However, the striker is ready to leave the Den, which has attracted the aforementioned trio of clubs.

football.london takes a close look at who Abdulmalik is amid interest from Arsenal.

Abdulmalik was a member of the Millwall under-18s side which claimed the Professional Development League title and reached the FA Youth Cup Quarter-Finals in 2019/20.

Following the triumph, the teenager got a call-up to the U23s side - and featured for them, as well as the U18s throughout the 2020/21 campaign.

In January 2020, Abdulmalik received his first call-up to the England U17s for two fixtures against Ukraine and one versus Russia.

He made his debut as an 84th-minute substitution in a 0-0 draw with Ukraine on February 6, 2020.

Abdulmalik then made his first start just two days later, when he played 73 minutes in England's 4-2 win against Russia, before coming on late into the 4-0 win against Ukraine.
