The Arizona Cardinals hold the 33rd pick in the draft, the first pick of the second round. They should be able to land an impact player. In fact, the last few years of players at that selection should give Cardinals fans optimism. Most have been at least solid starters.
Here are the last six players to be selected 33rd overall:
2018: C Austin Corbett, Browns

Corbett was an offensive lineman the Cardinals really liked. He started one game in 2018 and appeared in 11 as a rookie.
2017: CB Kevin King, Packers

King has shown promise in two seasons but has been bitten by the injury bug. Both his seasons in the league ended on injured reserve. When healthy, he starts.
2016: DE Emmanuel Ogbah, Browns

Ogbah had 12 sacks in his first three seasons and started all 40 games he has appeared in.
2015: S Landon Collins, Giants

Collins just changed teams this offseason, joining the Washington Redskins after four with the New York Giants. He has been a Pro Bowler each of the last three seasons.
2014: G Xavier Su’a-Filo

Su’a-Filo has been a starting guard for four of the five seasons he has played in the league.
2013: S Jonathan Cyprien, Jacksonville Jaguars

Cyprien was a starter for the first five years he played in the league. He spent all of 2018 on injured reserve and was cut in the offseason by the Tennessee Titans. He has not signed with a team yet.
