Who have been the last 6 players drafted No. 65 overall?

The Arizona Cardinals have the first pick of the third round, the 65th overall selection in the 2019 NFL draft. What sort of player can be expected with that pick?

Based on the last several years, there is a good chance he can be a solid player.

Here are the last six players taken No. 65 overall in the draft.

Parker played in 15 games and started 12 at tackle as a rookie in 2018 for the Raiders. The offensive line wasn’t good but he played.

2017: DT Larry Ogunjobi, Cleveland Browns

Ogunjobi played in 14 games as a rookie and started one but became a full-time starter for the improved Browns in 2018. He started all 16 games and had 5.5 sacks, 52 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

2016: DE Carl Nassib, Cleveland Browns

Nassib didn’t do much for the Browns in his first two seasons, getting 5.5 sacks combined. He did not make the roster in 2018 and was claimed off waivers by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For Tampa, he played in 15 games, starting nine, and had 6.5 sacks.

2015: CB D’Joun Smith

Smith is not a success story at No 65. He only played in five games in two seasons before he washed out of the league.

2014: TE C.J. Fiedorowicz, Houston Texans

Fiedorowicz played four seasons in the NFL and wasn’t bad. In 2016, he caught 54 passes for 559 yards and four touchdowns. However, after injuries got to him in 2017, he announced his retirement in March 2018.

2013: G Larry Warford, Detroit Lions

Warford has been a great player. He has been a starter ever since he entered the league. After four seasons with the Lions, he signed a four-year, $34 million contract with the New Orleans Saints and has been a Pro Bowler both years he has been with them.
