The World Health Organization (WHO) hailed on Saturday the health services that were provided by Saudi Arabia during its hosting of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
It stressed that it will cooperate with the Saudi Ministry of Health to prevent the outbreak of contagious diseases.
WHO officials inspected the health ministry’s measures at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport.
They also inspected a number of health centers and pilgrim camps.
They praised the awareness of the health sector workforce and its preparedness to handle diseases.
WHO representative Dr. Ibrahim al-Zeeq described the health precautions as “excellent.”
