Kamu Kirk has been evicted from Big Brother 28, becoming the sixth houseguest eliminated this season after the house voted near-unanimously to send him home on Week 6 eviction night.
The MMA fighter had spent the past month and a half establishing himself as one of the season's most dangerous players, building a wide alliance base and winning competitions. That reputation ultimately worked against him.
What Happened in Big Brother 28 Week 6
The week leading up to tonight's eviction was anything but straightforward. Angela Murray, Haley Thogmartin, and Kamu Kirk were all sitting on the block heading into eviction night, following a chaotic stretch that included the season's OTEV competition, an attempted bribe, and a decisive use of the Diamond Power of Veto.
It was Rick Devens who changed everything. Devens used the Diamond Power of Veto to commandeer the week's nominations, a move that put Kamu squarely in the crosshairs of the house.
Who Won the Block Buster on Big Brother 28
Before the eviction vote, the three nominees competed in the Block Buster competition for a chance to take themselves off the block. Angela Murray won.
According to the broadcast, Murray had seen the competition before and used that familiarity to her advantage. Her performance in the ball-handling challenge secured her the win and her removal from the block, leaving Kamu and Haley to face the vote.
Kamu Kirk Eviction Big Brother 28
With Angela safe, the house turned its attention to Kamu. The vote was near-unanimous. Kamu Kirk was evicted and became the sixth houseguest to sit down with host Julie Chen Moonves this season.
His exit marks the end of what had been one of the season's most dominant individual games. The house clearly decided that keeping him any longer was too great a risk.
Who Is Still in the House
Twelve houseguests remain in Big Brother 28 after Kamu's eviction. They are Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Dee Valladares, Drew Campbell, Haley Thogmartin, Jason De Puy, LaTrice Verrett, Mallory Aurichio, Melody Morris, Rick Devens, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel.
The Week 7 Head of Household competition is next. Results from that competition will determine who holds power, who gets nominated, and who could be facing eviction next week.
What Is Big Brother and Where to Watch It
Big Brother is a long-running American reality competition series produced by CBS. The show places a group of contestants, called houseguests, inside a purpose-built house where they are cut off from the outside world and filmed around the clock. Each week, houseguests compete in a series of challenges to win power, nominate others for eviction, and ultimately vote each other out. The last person remaining wins the grand prize.
Big Brother 28 is currently airing on CBS in the United States. The show airs three times a week, with eviction episodes typically broadcast live on Thursday nights. Viewers in the US can also stream episodes on Paramount+. International availability varies by region and streaming platform.
