Who frontman Roger Daltrey to play solo show at 02 Newcastle City Hall

The Who frontman Roger Daltrey will perform at 02 Newcastle City Hall on a solo tour.

Daltrey is heading out across the UK this November. His sets will include a mix of solo and Who songs, digging into blues, rock, country, soul and metal.

He will play at Newcastle City Hall on Friday November 26, 2021.

Daltrey, 77, says he can not wait to get back onto stage after more than a year and a half of coronavirus cancellations.

"The truth is singers need to sing,” says Roger, “use it or lose it”.

“Throughout my life I have sung with so many great musicians, from the heavy rock of The Who and Wilko Jonson, to the Irish lilt of The Chieftains," says Daltrey.

"On this tour I want to take the audience on a musical journey through my career as a singer, with a show of songs and sounds that explores and surprises. I look forward to having closer contact with my audience than festivals and arenas allow. Leaving time to chat.”
