Who England play in Euro 2020 last 16 knockout rounds as venue and date confirmed after win over Czech Republic

England have topped Group D after beating the Czech Republic at Wembley on Tuesday night.

An early goal from Raheem Sterling secured a 1-0 win for Gareth Southgate's men, who leapfrogged the Czechs into pole position in the group to ensure their progression to the next round.

There had been some debate over whether finishing second might be a better ploy for England, given what lies in wait in the last 16.

However, a victory on Tuesday night has narrowed down England's opponents for the knockout rounds to four teams, all of whom play tomorrow.

Now that England have topped their group, they face the runners-up in Group F.

At the moment, in the order they currently sit in that group, that could be any of world champions France, Germany, defending European champions Portugal or even Hungary.

Crucially, though, England now know the game will be at Wembley. The fixture will take place on Tuesday, June 29.

Southgate's side finished the group top after an opening-day victory over Croatia before being held to a goalless draw by the Scots before a win over the Czechs.
