Who did Philip Rivers, um, pass for 5th on all-time yardage list?

Philip Rivers moved into fifth place on the all-time list for passing yards during the first quarter of the Indianapolis Colts’ game with the Tennessee Titans Thursday.

Rivers moved ahead of Dan Marino into fifth place.

He has a long, long way to go and is unlikely to catch Brett Favre in fourth place, more than 10,000 yards ahead of Rivers.

Marino and Rivers were actually close to each other in career completions coming into the game. Marino completed 4,967 passes as a Miami Dolphin. Rivers entered the game with 5,094, 4908 coming with the Chargers.
