Who could play Joe Exotic in Tiger King movie?

Netflix's engrossing series Tiger King  has been a huge hit with fans, so much so that a second series looks like it could be in the pipeline.

As it is looking likely to happen BoyleSports suspended the betting last week.

Joe Exotic was sentenced to a 22-year jail sentence after being found guilty of paying a hitman to kill Carole Baskin but apart from a second series, fanatics are also keen to see a movie made about the extrovert tiger lover with Kevin Bacon fancied to play Joe Exotic.

The actor who won a Golden Globe for his role in the HBO original film Taking Chance, was backed into second favourite at 5/1 from 8/1 to play the lead role about the Tiger King last month but those odds are now at 4/1.

Dax Sheppard is another actor who is fancied to play the lead role. The Without a Paddle star has already displayed his interest in playing Joe Exotic by tweeting a photoshopped photo with his face in place of Joe's, cuddled up to a tiger. BoyleSports originally had Shepard priced at 20/1 but those odds were cut in half last month into 10/1.

Leon Blanche, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Kevin Bacon could be the one who plays Joe Exotic as punters continue to show interest in the actor. His odds are now at 4/1 from 8/1. This means that Billy Bob Thornton has company at the top of the betting as the pair share favouritism, with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton not far behind at 6/1 in the race to play Joe Exotic.”

Billy Bob Thornton also proved to be a favourite with 4/1 followed by Brad Pitt at 6/1.

Rumours circulated last month that Nicholas Cage could play Joe but he now comes in at 10/1. Also at 10/1 was Ben Stiller and Matthew McConaughey.

At 12/1   Christian Bale   Robert Downey Jr and sitting at the bottom of the chart was Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy with 33/1.
